Interval Cardio Training For Women

Interval Cardio Training For Women

Article by Matt Lisk

It used to be common practice for exercisers to do slow cardio workouts for better health. People believed that quick fat loss would occur if you did 20 minutes of cardio a day followed by strength training. However, this is not the case anymore because cardio is usually done at a slow pace.

Today the fastest way to lose weight seems to be to use interval cardio training. This is a method of doing short intense bursts of cardio training followed by a slower paced exercise in order to burn fat by increasing your metabolism. More women are finding that this is a great way for them to lose the belly fat they need without looking like a bodybuilder.

This method is working for many women and men and it is helpful because it is an overall body workout that works much better than trying to focus in on the area that you want to change. As an example, if you want to burn belly fat quickly, this is the best method because it works all of the body instead of just concentrating on the abs like you would if you only did crunches. Besides, many women would rather do a full workout then to concentrate on crunches because they don’t want to necessarily enhance their abs.

What Interval cardio training does is give you a way to do the same amount of work that you might do in a regular workout in a much shorter time. The way this works is instead of going at a slow pace you increase the intensity of your workout so that you get more benefit in a shorter time. You can change the types of training you do whenever you want since there is no magic formula for how it works.

Although some women may be squeamish about this at first, they see quick results when they apply the principles. The nice thing about this type of training is you don’t have to worry about changing what you are already doing because it works with any cardio activity. For example, say you run as part of your regular fitness routine.

If so, you could do a brisk walk of 2-3 minutes and then go into a jog or, you could walk faster if your fitness level isn’t where it needs to be yet. If you use a treadmill, you could add sprints to a daily run instead of only running. Any of these methods would work to move you towards quick fat loss.

The point is that when you are using interval cardio training you can tweak it however you want. There are many plans on the Internet that you can use that are geared to have you lose the fat within an 8 week period or less.

After you have done this several times you will know when it is time to increase the levels. Most women will see that this is the fastest way to lose weight especially when they want to get into a certain outfit or prepare for a wedding. This can be the way to make that rapid fat loss.

There are a lot of benefits to this type of training. You can burn belly fat quickly because you take less time to burn more calories, it improves your cardio endurance, it improves the elasticity of your arteries and it reduces boredom in your regular cardio routines. So, overall, you can’t top this process.

The next time you step into the gym to do cardio, remember to alter your cardio training to include interval cardio training and you will see the results for quick fat loss.

Best Ab Exercises ? What Are The Best Abdominal Training Exercises?

Best Ab Exercises ? What Are The Best Abdominal Training Exercises?

Many people are now turning to health buffs. This can be a result of the awareness campaign about cases of cardiovascular diseases that can be a major setback in being fat.

Gone are the renaissance days, where the fat and the fleshy are preferred especially by artists who would love to paint the human body. At our generation, the thinner you are, the prettier you will be.

Supermodels are best when they are thin. Beauty is synonymous to a slender and well-trimmed body. This concept has been the bandwagon of today’s generation. The abs is the major concern of both men and women.

Who would not want a firm and slender abs for women and a 6 pack muscles on the abdomen for men? Let us face it.

]]>

The abs is the most difficult part of the body to trim and sculpt. It is the focal point of the body and the beautiful flat and trimmed abs can really catch attention.

Before you sweat out to achieve the best abs you can ever have, you must look for the best ab exercises, which can help you build your abs and your confidence. You must understand that the best abs exercise does not just focus on a single area.

The best abdominal exercises are those that combine aerobic exercise with spot training. This spot training is the primary area in which you want to achieve the best form and figure, and for this instance, it is the abdominal muscles.

A thousand of crunches and sit-ups can make the abs area strong and sturdy but a bigger portion of the fat is in the adipose layer of the skin as well as the muscles.

Keep this handy tip, if you do not move a certain part of the body, it will never burn or metabolize fat. The fat piles up and thickens.

You have to keep moving by spot training the abs. One more thing, you have to work your abs with proper diet or else you keep on trimming down and dump fat again and again.

What Are The Most Important Ab Exercises For Women? You’ll Be Surprised

What Are The Most Important Ab Exercises For Women? You’ll Be Surprised

Article by Tyson Faulkner

As you probably know, there are a ton of different abdominal exercises out there, and I would say most of them work about the same for men and women. If the men are trying to bulk up their abs there are things you can do there, but for the most part, our bodies respond the same to a lot of the same exercises.

So for that reason, the most important ab exercises women can do are the ones that work their whole body. Which mean lifting weights! This will also help you crank up your metabolism to burn off that stomach fat as well.

Now I know there’s a lot of opposition to women and weightlifting. Mostly because a lot of gals believe that if they even touch a dumbbell they will instantly look like a bodybuilder. Which is just not true. It takes years of experience and training to build that much muscle, and it just doesn’t come naturally to women. Men build muscle much more readily and even a lot of men have a hard time getting ‘big.’

The best ab exercise that women can do are full body weight lifting moves with free weights. Exercises like squats, power cleans, bench press, rows, etc. These workouts will work a lot more muscle tissue than some situps, which will help you burn fat. Not only that, but they also greatly engage the stomach muscles (and lower back) to keep your body stable during the exercise. This teaches your muscles how to work together which will result in a healthier body (better posture, more stable joints)

So my challenge to you is to give it a shot. After all, if you get huge like a body builder after a few weeks of lifting weights you can always stop and go back to how you are doing it now. So get motivated and start today to get on the road to better results!

If you’re currently doing full body exercises with weights like those above, then you may just be looking for a little extra burn for your abs. To get that, work your abdominals 3-4 times a week, but only for 5-10 minutes each time. The abs are a fairly small muscle group so you don’t need to over do it. Just make sure that when you are working out your abs you are focused and intense. One reason you may not see much progress is if you usually slack off during your workouts. By remaining focused and working hard, you’ll get much better results and sculpt your body faster.

If you’re number one priority is learning how to reduce stomach fat, then you should stick with weights only and not focus too much on your ab workouts.

The Best Ab Exercise For Fat Loss

The Best Ab Exercise For Fat Loss

Article by Andrew Cheyne

One of the most common questions out there is what is the best ab exercise I can do to get a lean flat stomach. The answer is a surprising, None. When you are doing straight ab exercises you are not creating enough of a metabolic response to burn enough calories to produce fat loss. You are strengthening your muscles underneath the fat, but that will not work to produce a six-pack. In fact, sometimes it may even produce larger muscles underneath the fat, which will push the abdomen out even further, and will seem like you actually have a larger belly.

The best ab exercise for fat loss in fact is not an ab exercise at all. You really need to be focusing your time on losing that fat around the abs. You need to work on stripping this off the abdominal walls so you have the opportunity to show off the ab muscles below. Most of the time doing crunches and sit-ups are simply a useless waste of time.

So if these direct ab exercises are a waste of time, then what is the best exercise for fat loss?

This is a fantastic start, because we have go to a key question. We need the best exercise for fat loss. To produce fat loss, you need to build muscle and burn calories. The best exercises to do these are compound movement exercises like squats, deadlifts, presses, rows, pull-ups and dips. Doing these exercises along with interval fitness training exercises will be the best way to build muscle and burn calories.

Instead of focusing on your midsection, focus on building your entire body. There is a theory out there called spot reduction. It is simply a myth that has been contrived by the fitness world to sell useless gadgets. By working on your waist you will not burn fat from your waist.

Fat loss is a genetically predetermined process. Men have the most trouble with their waist and women with their buns and thighs. It doesn’t matter if you work 24 hours a day on those particular trouble spots, you are going to lose fat from other areas instead.

So, stop wasting your time working on situps and crunches, or leg raises… Or even worse those terrible ab machines that are on all the advertising channels. You need to focus your efforts on high intensity full body work, multi joint exercises. Keep working hard and that elusive six pack will come.

What is the Best Abs Exercise for Women?

What is the Best Abs Exercise for Women?

Article by Tony Drake

In all the days and years IÂ’ve spent in gyms, IÂ’ve gotten pretty familiar with what types of exercises each of the sexes feels most comfortable with. IÂ’ll rarely see young men joining in on the aerobics classes, for instance, just as IÂ’ll rarely see young women strapping weights on the barbell to perform the Deadlift.

Now the deadlift is a great exercise for abs, just as aerobics is great to improve stamina. Why is the deadlift such a good abs exercise? Because it is a multi-joint exercise that works all the major muscles of the body. Since getting great abs is so much about stripping away fat from that area, any exercise that works so many muscles and increases the RMR (resting metabolic rate) is fantastic. All those muscles you engaged in your workout are helping you burn fat when youÂ’re at home hours later.

For this reason, the best abs exercise for women is not crunches, sit-ups, hanging leg raises or the like. Instead, it is a multi-joint exercise that works several different muscle groups and engages the abdominals as well. It is also one that I see women doing all the time, so there is a level of comfort there that Deadlifts donÂ’t bring.

IÂ’m talking about the Dumbbell Lunge. If youÂ’re not familiar with it, you can see a demo of it here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=smv0N44Ne-8

I would encourage you to get up and try it, and youÂ’ll get a sense of why itÂ’s so powerful. Make sure not to hyperextend your knee past your foot, so take a big stride when you step forward. Try to bring your non-striding knee all the way to ground, so that your abdominals are deeply engaged.

See what I mean? With even a little weight (10-15 lb dumbbells) youÂ’re really developing the leg and butt muscles, and the core is constantly engaged due to the depth of the step as well as the balance required. And, you can easily do this exercise at home or in sections of the gym where there are small dumbbells, which is why I consider it the best abs exercise for women!

The Best Ab Exercises For Women – And Why They Work

The Best Ab Exercises For Women – And Why They Work

Want To Know The Best Ab Exercises For Women?

Eek! Petrified! – I can still remember the look on my friends face when I said I could help her by giving her exercises to develop her abs… in fact – it will probably haunt me for a while yet.

The first words she managed to get out were “ABS?! But I don’t want abs. I just want a toned, flat, nice looking stomach!” Does this sound similar to what you think about when people talk about ab exercises? Lots of women ask me about the best ab exercises for women, because the first thing that comes to mind when ‘abs’ are mentioned are 6-pack abs – defined muscles that would ruin their feminine figures… and so they (rightly I should add) run for the hills.

Now, I know what you might be thinking – you instead want to know the specific exercises that will strengthen your mid-section and at the same time flatten your stomach to reveal a toned, flat tummy. But…

Your Body Is A Genius!

When it comes to exercise, your body is actually very clever. It already knows what it is doing and it will always work to keep your body shape as it is. This means that if you do sit-ups, crunches or any other exercise, your body won’t develop large 6-pack abs – because it is just not designed to do that. Instead your body will work to tone your abdominal muscles and strengthen them when you exercise your abs, which will lead to a firmer, flatter stomach!

]]>

Now I already know that women are very sharp when it comes to exercise, so you won’t fall for those gimmicks that get shown on late night TV, or pills offering inches off your stomach in a week, right? Instead, I know you’ll be able to focus on what your body is looking for when it comes to getting a great mid-section. So it’s a good thing that the correct steps which will develop your abs without getting any undesired, muscular side effects are easy to follow.

A Little Secret…

So here’s your first little secret that I hope will encourage you to start getting those results – you don’t need to perform hundreds of crunches or any other exercise to get great abs, and I can’t stress this point enough. Developing a great mid-section does not take an hour a day – if you manage to train smart. Yes, your abs are endurance muscles that respond to high reps – but to muscles ‘high volume’ means around 20 reps! The key tip here is to work on the intensity of the exercise, not the amount.
