Resistance Band Exercise Made Simple

Resistance Band Exercise Made Simple

One of the largest problems with those suffering from nerve diseases and disabilities is keeping up circulation. Because walking let alone, more strenuous exercise can be painful, even dangerous because of the impact involved, these people end up living very sedentary lives. Eventually, limb loss may ensue due to circulation problems. Fortunately, resistance band exercise can be used by these previously sedentary people. A few stretches go a long way to keeping the blood flowing through limbs.

The best part of resistance band exercise is there is virtually no impact. Multiple Sclerosis patients who can barely walk utilize resistance bands to keep the blood flowing through their legs by doing a few stretches with the band wrapped around one of their feet.

Resistance Band Exercise can also be performed by the very large. For the obese, exercise can be nearly impossibly and terribly daunting. A light, convenient resistance band can be used with little to no impact and without moving all parts of your body or supporting your own weight.

For the elderly, walking and swimming are always recommended. Though these are fantastic cardiovascular exercises, it is not really toning ones’ muscles. Of course an elaborate home gym is not the right solution for an elderly person. They need the convenient, fun, and simple strength training that these bands can provide. Because there is virtually no set up and certainly no assembly required, any person can get their muscles toned up with a bit of colorful resistance training regardless of age.

Resistance Band training can increase in difficulty as muscle mass increases. Exercise bands are inexpensive; there is no large financial commitment. The intensity of resistance band exercise is only dependant on your ability; as your strength improves resistance bands allow you the flexibility to increase the intensity of your workout accordingly.

Children can even participate in a resistance band program to tone little muscles and inspire growth. It is a fun little quick exercise that can hold the attention of even the most rambunctious child. There are so many exercises that may be conducted with resistance bands that boredom is never a factor. Coaches have even begun to implement resistance band usage in sports to increase their players’ flexibility and endurance.

There has been resurgence in the popularity of isometric exercise due to its use in physical therapy. Those that do not have a great deal of joint flexibility or cannot stress a muscle too much are recommended to use resistance bands in their recuperation. Physical therapists recommend and apply resistance band training in combination with isometric exercise to help patients reach their maximum range of motion, flexibility, strength, and endurance.

Resistance band exercise not only provides for excellent muscle build up, but it definitely increases one’s flexibility and range of motion. For those suffering from any movement impairing disabilities, band exercise can ease the discomfort and improve upon one’s limited range of motion.

Implementing a resistance band exercise program is by no means a cure all system. It must be combined with healthy eating and mild aerobic exercises in order to achieve total physical fitness. However, combined with these two aspects, resistance band exercise can assist in toning muscle, burning fat, and increasing overall health. Once you have acquired your resistance band, exercise as much as you feel comfortable doing to see the pounds fly and the muscles build.

Five Reasons to Use Resistance Bands

Five Reasons to Use Resistance Bands

There are many benefits gained when using resistance bands, but five in particular stand out among the rest. Resistance bands provide a thorough workout for the entire body and can be used in conjunction with other exercise equipment or as a sole workout. Many people prefer to mix up their workouts to prevent boredom, however, there is no reason that someone could not use resistance bands solely to reshape, tone, and firm their body. Not only are resistance bands easy enough for anyone to use, but they are also light but give you the same results as having any heavy dumbbell set. Here are five reasons to use resistance bands, whether alone or in addition to another workout routine.

1. Resistance Bands are Convenient

When looking for effective exercise routines, convenience is a necessity. With today’s busy schedules, many people are pressed for time. Between children, work, school, and family life finding the time to visit a gym can be difficult. Exercising with resistance bands allows the opportunity to work out on your own time frame, in the privacy of your own home.

2. Resistance Bands are Portable

Resistance bands are light weight and easily fit in a purse, gym bag, or suitcase. You can take resistance bands with you everywhere. Whether to the office to exercise during break time or packed in your luggage for your next vacation, you will not need to worry about missing your next workout. Since you can select resistance bands as a set, you will always have access to greater resistance bands as well.

3. Resistance Bands are Versatile

The versatility of resistance bands ensures that you can perform a wide array of exercises that target every area of the body. The bands can be wrapped tightly for greater tension, attached to doorways, furniture or other stationary objects, or can be used alone while holding the handles or standing on the middle of the band. This versatility ensures that you can successfully work out any part of the body, anytime day or night, without needing to use heavy equipment or to visit a health club or gym.

4. Resistance Bands are Easy on the Joints

As we age, we must become more conscious regarding the stress and abuse placed on the joints. Resistance bands are easy on the joints and since you can select from various degrees of tension, choosing the appropriate band is easy. The person exercising has full control over the amount of tension used, ensuring that they exercise in a safe manner.

5. Resistance Bands are Inexpensive

Resistance bands are inexpensive, making them an affordable workout solution for people of all budgets. Pricier memberships to health clubs and gyms simply don’t fit into everyone’s lifestyle, nor are they friendly to the wallet. For a minimal investment, resistance bands provide all of the benefits of working out in gyms at a fraction of the cost. Everyone from teens and college students to senior citizens can reshape their bodies and take charge of their health without investing a great deal of money.

We believe in using a wide array of workout equipment such as resistance bands, ab balls and p90x pull up bars to get the best workout for the entire body. Gyms are a great place to go, but if a gym is too far then you need a new option. Find my African Zulu Princess.

Reshape With Resistance Bands: Triceps Extensions

Reshape With Resistance Bands: Triceps Extensions

Article by Matthew Stevens

There are many benefits to using resistance bands including the fact that they are flexible, inexpensive and simple to use, and can give you the same results you would get if you worked out in a gym or health club. There are many body parts that resistance bands are particularly effective on and one of the most difficult areas to target are the triceps. With resistance bands, you can tone and shape your triceps without needing to use any complicated machines or exercise equipment.

When using resistance bands always make sure to check the bands for any tears or rips. The band should be in good condition. Remember to breathe when exercising and let your movements flow in a smooth, graceful manner. Some people hold their breath and make the mistake of letting the resistance band snap back after each movement. This can cause unnecessary strain on the muscles as well as the band. Control the band with each movement to ensure the longevity of the resistance band and to get the best results from each exercise. If you find it hard to control the resistance band then you might need to drop to a lower level of resistance. It is very important that you are able to control the band, because without control you can harm your body, strain muscles or actually injure your arm or whatever part of the body you are using the band on.

Selecting resistance bands might seem confusing, but it shouldn
