Losing weight is not complicated. But you DO have to know what you’re doing… Here I’ll give you ten simple weight loss tips that will tip the scales in your favour!

1. To lose weight, you have to burn more calories than you take in. Add up how many calories you’re eating every day, and then figure out how many calories you’re burning via exercise. If you want to lose weight, the second number has to be bigger than the first.

2. Make small changes in your daily routine. They add up! Instead of driving to work, bike there. If you’re going to take the bus to the movies, get off early and walk part of the way. Just think of the massive improvements you’ll see if you make these minor changes!

3. Food. Food is key. Take a look at a healthy eating guide, and change your eating habits to fit it. If you’re creative enough, you can still enjoy delicious food – and stick to a healthy diet!

4. You might not expect this one: sleep! Yes, sleep is crucial to losing weight and getting a fit, healthy body. You can exercise all you want, and have a great diet, but to lose weight you also have to get a good night’s sleep.

5. Motivation is the most common reason people have difficulty losing weight. Having a plan isn’t everything: if you don’t get out there and do it, it’s not worth anything! So get some friends to work out with you, write down some goals, make a workout playlist – whatever you have to do.

6. EXERCISE. This is the key, and too many women are lazy about it. Try to lose weight without doing exercise, and guess what’ll happen… nothing! If you’re serious about this, then get yourself to the gym, go to training sessions, go running, go swimming, whatever. It’s the only way to lose weight.

7. Be consistent. Don’t try to lose 50 pounds in a week! Aim for a steady, easily attainable level of weight loss, and don’t overdo it. If you try to lose too much, you’ll just end up doing more harm than good. Make yourself a plan, and stick to it every day.

8. Don’t be sedentary. Or, in plain English: get off your butt! Studies show that sitting around for long periods of time can actually cancel out the gains you get from exercise. So skip that eight hour CSI marathon. Go for a walk once in a while or do some push-ups and sit-ups to get your blood flowing again.

9. Don’t try to do it alone. It’s really tough to stick to a diet and workout regime all by yourself. If you really want to lose weight, do it with friends or family! If none of your friends want to join you, get a personal trainer to keep you on track.

10. Have fun! Remember why you’re doing this: it’s not supposed to be a gruelling task, you’re trying to lose weight and get fit! So enjoy it. Stick to the activities you like, and make your workouts something to look forward to!

Whole grains high in fiber will also help you feel full over longer periods of time.

Second, suggestion for learning how to get rid of abdomen fat women is that you reduce intake of carbohydrates. This has been known to keep blood sugar levels in check which in turn helps reduce insulin production. Insulin has been considered a contributor when it comes to depositing fat in the belly area. So increasing whole grains and fiber intake and reducing carbohydrates will help you in reducing stomach fat.

Third step in learning how to get rid of stomach fat for women is exercising. Making time to exercise 30 to 60 minutes each day is a key component in winning the battle over your spare tires. The exercise that you want to do is not targeted exercise like sit-ups and ab crunches because you really won’t get the results you are seeking. It will make you feel better and perhaps even look tighter but at the end of the day your stubborn stomach fat will still be hanging around. If you haven’t been exercising in some way shape or form, perhaps you should start out slow and slowly increase your intensity and length of time. Also, you should check with your doctor and make sure that you have the green light to change your diet and start an exercise program.

Once you get rid of those love handles and get a flatter stomach you will not only look good but feel good as well. When I hear someone refer to a workout routine for women, what immediately comes to mind is the specific exercises to be done. Stuff that enhances metabolism, builds muscle, that sort of thing. But after pondering for a bit, I realized that the real key to this phrase is “routine”. Because how many of you actually have a set schedule to work out like you have a schedule for everything else in your world? That’s probably more of the issue than anything else.

Do you really not have the time to exercise, or do you simply NOT make an appointment with yourself to do it. And don’t mistake me for one of those fanatical exercise gurus who lives to exercise and does so 8 hours a day. I’m not and I don’t. The fact of the matter is, I struggle with this just like you. So I’m not getting up on my high horse about it. I understand where you are coming from, I really do.

But the truth remains, at the end of the day, you’d look better, feel better, and have more energy if you consistently did workout routines for women. And that, my friend, is why my program lends itself well to a packed, frenzied, or otherwise insane schedule. Because in my mind, I do believe that doing ten minutes of powerful exercise will do you a world of good, especially in comparison to doing nothing at all. And what happens to me when I allow myself ten minutes to work out? Sometimes I start to really feel the energy and power pumping in me, and I end up with a 30 minute workout. So my lame excuse of not having time is just that. Lame. But we all make excuses in one way or another.

I recommend doing a workout routine for women that is 20 minutes every day. And the reason I don’t like to say three times a week, aside from the fact that it’s kindof standard and I like to be difficult, is, again, to do with ROUTINE. In other words, what I would really like to see is that this becomes a habit that you don’t even need to write down. Participating in a workout routine for women will become an automatic response, much like many other activities that occur in your daily life. Because otherwise, what happens is, you skip a day and say to yourself, “Oh, I’ll do 40 minutes tomorrow” and then tomorrow it’s a “thing”, because 40 minutes seems like a much more daunting project than 20. Am I right, here? You see, I’ve been down this road before.

And sadly, often times that is all it will take to go from a well-meaning habit to doing absolutely nothing at all. Yeah, doing nothing is so much easier. That is, until those muffin tops of yours are about to burst off the waistline of your skirt. And then the guilt. And spiraling self-esteem. And more cookies.

Have you thought about hiring a weight loss coach? Because it’s so much easier to succeed in developing healthy habits, like workout routines for women, when you have support and guidance. Not everyone requires accountability, but most of us do better when we have it. If you could come to terms with needing an occasional kick in the skirt, you could avoid needless struggle and disappointment, allowing someone to help you.

Muffin Top: The Easy Solution To A Frumpy Weight Loss Problem

You’ve seen them coming and going around town–overweight women in low-rise jeans, with an unsightly bulge mushrooming over their belts. It’s called a muffin top, and it’s the package that no woman wants to be stuck with. If this sounds uncomfortably familiar to you, then you can take comfort in knowing that you are not alone.

Through conversation, I’ve discovered that a real concern for most women is whether or not they should ignore it and suffer through the embarrassment, or if they should suck it up (literally), buck the trend, and tuck their muffin top in the pouch of those dreaded “mom” jeans?

Sound familiar?

Luckily for you, those aren’t your only two choices, but we’ll get to that in a moment. First, let’s learn more about what a muffin top is and how it’s created.

You may have heard other people call it by other names like love handles, spare tire, or beer belly—often used to describe and diagnose the masculine version of the problem. It’s a layer of fat that rests in your lower middle section of the torso, and it comes from loading up on carbohydrates (i.e. bread and pasta), drinking too much, and not working out.

If you really want to wear a pair of low-rise jeans, but you’ve got love handles, you could choose to wear longer tops, lie tunics, or even a form fitting button down that flares at the bottom—you’ll be fashionably hip, which is what you want, and you’ll no one will see the your waist.

Of course, you can always just buy regular jeans. There are plenty of fashionable, affordable, adorable styles out there for women of all shapes and sizes. And remember they’re just jeans. Twenty years form now, you’ll cringe at pictures of yourself in this outdated style.

There is a third alternative. It’s the least favorite of the three but it’s the most rewarding. What is it? Get in the gym, and go on a diet. Cut out those excess carbohydrates! You could pick any diet. They all work, but they also all have their advantages and disadvantages.

Diet is not the only answer, especially if you want to look hot, long, and lean in your tight jeans. Here are just a few exercises that you can do in the quiet comfort of your home that will allow you to eliminate that pesky muffin top forever.

Start with some torso twists.  That’s where you stand up straight with your feet shoulder-width apart and your arms out at shoulder height (like you’re about to nosedive off a cliff). Twist right to left, keeping your arms high.  Repeat 50-100 times.

Another one is the side-crunch.  Get down on the floor, like you’re about to do a sit-up.  But, with the side-crunch, you’re going to lift your legs and bend your knees, so your upper legs are perpendicular to the floor and your lower legs parallel.

Then, touching your hands to the back of your head—don’t interlock them, and you don’t want to hold your head—begin doing sit-ups. You want to touch your right elbow to your left knee while extending your right leg out straight, and vice versa, for each sit-up you do.

Lastly, you can do crossovers – laying flat on the floor with your arms extended, lift one leg up straight in the air, then bring it across your body until your toe touches the floor on the other side, while keeping as much of your upper body on the floor as possible.

With diet and exercise, you can be rid of the muffin top forever—without hiding under a long shirt or generating looks of disgust from passersby.

Try this 2-3 days a week…3-4 sets…12-25 reps Concentrate on those obliques (love handles)! Squeeze those obliques and abs muscles so you can really feel this workout. Keep your lower tummy pulled in. Make sure you’re controlling your movements. Your sides will be sore after this workout but it’s well worth it.
