Tip 5: Know what fluids to avoid and consume. Avoid alcohol and drinks high in sugar. Cut back on alcohol. 1. Plank

For this stomach exercise, you will need to lie on a flat surface, such as the floor. You will be lying in your stomach, so you may want to use a mat or towel to cushion your knees. Prop your upper body up on your forearms so that your elbows make a ninety degree angle and are positioned directly below your shoulders. Now lift your body up off the floor so that your lower body is supported by your toes, while your upper body remains supported by your elbows. Your body should basically be a straight line, with no arch or drooping through your back. Hold this position for twenty seconds, then lower your body back to the floor. One repetition is sufficient.

2. Side Plank

This stomach exercise is a variation on the previous one, and begins in the same starting position. Once you are positioned properly, roll to your right side, keeping your torso supported with your right forearm. You will have to raise your hips and roll your feet so that your left foot is on top of your right. As in the plank, your body will be a straight line, but this time you will be on one side. Place your left hand on your hip and hold the plank position for five seconds. Return to start and repeat on the left side.

3. Ball Roll

If you just quickly glanced at the title, you may have gone to find a ball before reading on. If you did, you can go put it away, because in this stomach exercise, you are the ball! First, sit on the floor and hug your knees to your chest. Roll back slightly so you are balancing on your tail bone and your feet are off the floor, toes pointing downward. Pull your abdominals inward while rolling onto your lower back and the upper part of your butt. Contract your abdominals and pull yourself back to the starting position. Loosening your arms up may help if you find this exercise too difficult at first.

4. Standing Crossover

As the name implies, you will need to stand up for this stomach exercise. Position your feet a few inches apart. Put your arms out to the sides and bend your elbows at a ninety degree angle so your fingertips are pointing to the ceiling and your palm are facing forward. Contract your abdominals and lift your right knee toward your left elbow, while at the same time bringing your left elbow down toward your right knee. Touch the two joints together, pause, then return to start. Switch sides and repeat for an entire set.

It is no secret that eating the right flat stomach foods is a huge part of getting that flat stomach you want.  If you merely do crunches or sit ups you may gain some lean muscle tissue in your abs, but that will only push the fat out further making your stomach bulge increase–sigh!  So in conjunction with exercises whether it is yoga for a flat stomach or crunches for a flat stomach we need to add flat stomach foods to our war chest.

Flat Stomach Foods: Bread
Look at the ingredients. The word whole whould be there.  Either whole wheat or whole grain.  Avoid anything else.  Do not fall for just wheat flour.  That is not the same as whole wheat.
Don’t be fooled with the term “made with whole grains”. It needs to be just whole grains or whole wheat.
Make sure whole wheat or whole grain is the first thing on the ingredient list.
Check how many calories there are per slice.  Keep it 100 or less.
Flat Stomach Foods: Cereal
Whole grains or whole wheat listed as the first item in the ingredients is important!
Keep the fat content around 2.5 grams per serving.
Make sure the cereal is lablede “no sugar added”.  Second best is “low sugar” cereals
Sweeten your cereal with fruit instead of sweeteners.  If you just have to use sweeteners use zero calorie sweeteners like Stevia.
Flat Stomach Foods: Meat
Avoid red meat as much as you can.  If you must ask for select cuts which are leaner than choice cuts.
Never fry your meat.  Grill, roast, broil or bake your meat. It really reduces the fat.
Use turkey as a substitute for beef.  You can get it ground, in hot dogs and in sausage.  It is just a better all round choice than beef is.

3. Don’t Be Afraid to Eat Fats! Good fats are important for you and your baby and they will keep your mood steady. Go for good fat sources such as nuts and seeds, olive oil, organic meats, and eggs and fish oils.

4. Eliminate artificial trans fats (hydrogenated oils) and high fructose corn syrup. These are unhealthy for your baby and for you and they will prevent you from getting a flat stomach. These foods are found in most fried and processed foods and almost all sweetened products in your grocery store.

The reverse crunch is the second exercise that will help you achieve a flat stomach.  The lower abs will be targeted when doing this exercise.  Lying flat on your back again, you should put your hands either behind your head or on the ground at your sides.  Bend the knees at 90 degrees, but this time keep your feet from touching the ground, about six inches off the floor.  Move your knees toward your chest.  Using momentum by swinging your legs is not the proper way to do this exercise, but instead utilizing the lower abdominal muscles to perform the lift.  Steadily place your legs back to the original position.  Again try for 15 to 30 repetitions and do this for 3 or 4 sets.

The oblique crunch, which target the abdominal oblique muscles, will be the last of the flat stomach exercises we will focus on.  You have the same basic starting point as the basic crunch, but now place your foot on top of your other knee.  If you put your right foot over your left knee, then place your right hand behind your ear, with your left hand on the floor.  Use a twisting motion to bring your shoulder to the knee of the opposite side.  For instance, you could move your left shoulder toward your right knee by twisting your midsection.  This exercise may take some time to get used to, but it is excellent at targeting your obliques.  Work this drill for 15 to 30 repetitions per side, and try to perform 3 to 4 sets.

Getting a flat stomach in 2 weeks also requires that you do some light forms of resistance training.  Lean muscle tissue requires 4 times the amount of calories to maintain than fat tissue does.  So increasing your lean muscle tissue will greatly help you burn more calories and get a flat stomach in 2 weeks.  You should do at least 3 sessions of light resistance training per week to build lean muscle tissue and achieve a flat stomach in 2 weeks.

Eat to reduce your overall body fat for a flat stomach in 2 weeks

You realistically can’t get a flat stomach in 2 weeks unless you change your diet.  You should immediately start consuming 1 gram of protein for every pound of your lean body mass. Next cut out most starch and refined sugars.  Stop drinking sugary drinks such as sodas.  Avoid fruit juices.  Get 30 grams of fiber or more every day.  For a flat stomach in 2 weeks you should calculate your BMR and reduce your overall calories accordingly.

Once you have all of these practices in place you will be surprised at how fast your body fat disappears and a flat stomach in 2 weeks appears.  Now the only thing you will need to worry about is maintaining the flat stomach you got in 2 weeks.
