These days, it is not uncommon to find people doing ab exercises with a ball. They have found this piece of equipment very useful and helpful in toning their abdominal muscles. By using the exercise ball, you are able to target and really work a number of different muscles at the same time. This is a great way of getting a good workout.

There are a number of different ways in which the ball can be used whilst exercising. Even is you are not interested in developing your abdominal muscles, you can still use the ball to exercise and keep fit. Here is an example of how by using the ball you can do the ‘Abdominal Crunch’. It is really simple but very effective and works wonders for your abdominal muscles as well.

To do the Abdominal Crunch exercise:

1. Start off by lying down on your back. 2. Place your feet on the ball in order that your knees and hips are bent at a 90-degree angle. 3. Tighten your abdominal muscles. (You can easily do this by pulling your navel or belly button in toward your spine.) 4. Raise your head and shoulders off the floor. Don’t strain your neck. Cross your arms over your chest instead of the classic pose of locking them behind your head.Return to the start position. Repeat a minimum of 4 repetitions and a maximum of 8 repetitions.

Another good way of working those abdominal muscles is by doing the ‘Extended Arm Crunch’.

1. Start off by lying on a mat, facing the ceiling.2. Extend your arms straight out above your head while holding the ball, keeping your arms next to the ears. 3. Contract your abdominal muscles as you lift the shoulder blades off the floor. Keep the arms straight, and try to avoid straining your neck as well. If you do feel any neck pain at any time during this exercise, drop the ball and place one of your hands behind your head, while keeping the other arm extended.Lower yourself to the original position. Repeat exercise for a minimum of 10 repetitions and a maximum of 16.

Many of us wonder how almost every star in Hollywood has the body of the Greek god. In some cases a lot of us believe that they are born with it; but of course this is not the case. In a recent survey, when you are going to the beach or swimming pool, the body part that most people look at is your abdomen. There are plenty of different workouts that you can do to help yourselves get a six pack that you so greatly desire. What you have to understand is that everybody has abs. The difference is that some people’s abs are covered by more fat than other people’s abs.

Abs Exercise Is By the Plenty

In terms of exercising your abs there is a machine at the gym aptly named the ab machine. This machine makes you do a crunching motion while you are sitting in the proper position for maximum effect. You are able to decrease or increase the resistance if you wish to do so. When you are looking to do an abs exercise, do not try and break any speed records as you should take your time and flex them while you are doing any exercises. If you add more resistance to the machine it will help define your abdomen once you have reached that point.

You can use everyday items such as books or even a dumbbell or whatever you like. You should then place the weighted object into one of these positions. Placing the object above your head and holding it in place with your hands. When performing these types of workouts you should use exercise techniques that you would use if you are not using any weight to train with.

Another good abs exercise to perform is hanging leg lifts; but to do this you will need a pull up bar. All you do is simply allow your legs to hang; making sure that your body is relaxed enough so that as you pull yourself up, there is no bend in your knees. Also make sure that your toes are pointed.

Another good way of exercising your abdomen is quite simple and easy to do. By simply laying flat on your back and bending your knees with your feet placed firmly on the floor position and your hands behind your ears making sure that they do not actually touch any part of your head. By simply raising your body up and down, you are performing a crunch to your abdomen and across your body. Try to also touch your left elbow with your right knee and vice versa as this also helps define your abdomen. Always try and flex your stomach while performing these exercises and then gently ease yourself back into the starting position and perform the exercise once again.

These are just a few simple abs exercise techniques for your abs. If you take the time and put in the effort, then you will get the beach body abdomen that you have longed for.

Honesty!!! I do not know why people find working out a hassle. It is easy! What is so difficult about going to a gym for one hour 3 days out of the week? What you will achieve from working out is phenomenal. The gain in confidence is the best feeling I have ever had!

 

But unfortunately not everyone is able to get to a gym.

 

Here a simple solution! I am going to give you 3 great ab exercises that are simple and you can do anywhere. Now when you workout you should working on other sections of you body as well. For example one day is legs. The next is upper body. The day after your abs/midsection. With rest days in between of course. Resting is very important!

 

 

 

Abdominal Scissors: Lay down on the floor on your back. Put your arms straight behind your head still touching the floor. legs straight on the floor as well. At the same time lift your legs and arms up straight at the same time to the point where they cross. When they are crossing you will look like a scissor get it. your shoulders and hips will lift of the floor thats fine.

 

Abdominal bicycle: Lay down on the floor on your back. Put your hands behind your head. Lift your right leg up with your knee bent at 90 degrees like if your pedaling on a bike then extend it out. Crunch with your left side at the same time. Then alternate to left leg with right crunch.

 

Lying leg thrusts: Lay down on the floor on your back. Put your arms on the floor next to you with ur hands palm down. Lift your legs straight up as high as you can and then back down.

 

 

 

I like to do 5 sets of 10 for each great ab exercise. How many you do is up to you, but remember if you do not feel the burn you need to work more to reach your goals.
