How do you actually get the six pack that you’ve always wanted? The key behind getting those washboard abs is a combination of different things. Not every exercise will work, however. When you can use the right six pack abs exercises, you will be able to achieve the results you need. Let’s look at some of the most effective six pack abs exercises.

The one that is the most effective at making six pack abs is also the first one. Various studies have shown it to be the best exercise for six pack abs. The bicycle exercise is the best exercise to really rip those abs. In this exercise you need to lie flat on your back to start out. Making sure that your lower legs are parallel to the ground, bring your legs up, and bend your knees. Put your hands on the back of your head with your elbows in the air. Use your right elbow to reach your left knee. At the same time lift your left knee up towards your chest. Once you do this, alternate to the other side. Do this repeatedly without your legs touching the ground. This exercise works every area of the abs including the sides and love-handles. This exercise is wonderful to get going in the right direction.

Another one of the great six pack abs exercises is the Captain’s Chair exercise. This type of equipment is available at your local gym. This exercise is done using leg raises, by lifting your legs in front of you. This is the second most effective exercise for toning your abs. In order to do this exercise properly, you need to keep yourself from swinging your legs. This will minimize the effectiveness and also increase your potential for injury.

By Using an exercise ball to crunch on, you can try another six pack abs exercise. The wonderful thing about this exercise is that it can be done from home. However, you obviously have to have an exercise ball for this to work. Your lower back should be gently lowered onto the ball. Lifting your arms high in the air, begin to contract your abs while you lift your torso up. Doing this exercise will result in a good burn.

All in all, six pack abs exercises are an excellent way to get your core toned. This is something that will have to be done often. You need to set a schedule and then stick to it. Being able to stay on schedule is the most important part of an exercise, no matter which one it is. If you do it for a few days and then go for weeks without doing it again, you’ll be no better off than before.

One of the many challenges men have is to decide what kind of workout they want to do to get a sexy six pack. One of the fears that many men suffer from is that they will work out for months on end and never see any results, or go back to the old way of doing things. So the question is, what are the best ab exercises for six pack abs?

The best way to explain this is to talk about what NOT to do. With that in mind, I’ll not talk to you about the top 5 mistakes most people make when they are trying to get ripped six pack abs, so you can save yourself the time and energy, by not making the same mistakes again.

Mistake #1: Imitating bad workouts you find on TV. This is a probable reason why you will not be able to burn the belly fat fast. Inexperienced people think that doing some simple workout, like they do on TV is the answer, because they have ripped abs and sexy bodies, and don’t know any better. What they don’t know is that most of the workouts on TV are ineffective and they actually got the abs working out the REAL way, and eating the RIGHT way.

And in fact, one of the WORST ab exercises you can do is the regular, repetitive crunch or sit-up. When you do this exercise you are not adding enough resistance to your stomach, and you are not burning belly fat efficiently either. (You should go behind the scenes and see them really work out! You’ll a totally different workout routine!)

Mistake #2: Trying to get ripped by only working out your abs. This is not the most effective way to burn belly fat! You want to keep a gradual increase in resistance and difficulty for your abs. That’s how you build size, which is what makes them come out from behind your belly fat.

So what ab exercises should I do? There are hundreds of exercises that are better for building abs. Some of them include doing a classic mountain climber, or doing the plank for 1 minute. You must also incorporate pull-ups and dumbbell squats. These exercises keep your metabolism high and will allow you to burn fat even after the exercise.

But the bottom line is that many, many people will need to do something different from what they are doing now in order to get the most out of their workout routine.

Mistake #3: Think that because you purchased some type of exercise machine will make you get ripped abs, just because you have it. The magis is not in the machine, the magic (if any) is in the workout done by YOU, regularly, on the machine, and eating right.

Mistake #4: Being weak minded. Thinking that you can get a six pack without working hard is a myth. It does require a fair amount of exercise and work. You cannot get a six pack by wishing or thinking about it. You actually have to RUN, do the PUSH-UPS and replace fast food with broccoli soup! But if you are able to do these things, you’ll start to see a ripped midesction in less than 12 weeks!

Mistake #5: Thinking the hardest exercises are the best ones. You don’t need to do some crazy, advanced, upside down workouts in order to get the ripped six pack abs you want. The best ab exercises are simple, effective and fun. Just do the normal ones, with the exception of crunches and sit-ups, they don’t work to well!

Hard ab exercises is a waste of time. They are frustrating, hard to do and often kill your motivation to continue, since you can’t do them properly. It’s about building strength and having good form, not winning the academy awards of crazy ab workouts.

If you’re looking to get that six pack you’ve always wanted, there are many different ab exercises that you can do to strengthen your core and build those muscles. I am going to go over 3 different exercises that you can do to today that will give you a well rounded work out.

Ab Exercise #1 – Do Crunches

Crunches are a very short movement exercise that will isolate your upper abs. To do them, lie on the floor with your feet close to you and cross your arms over your chest. Now pull your upper chest to your knees using your ab muscles. Only lift up far enough so you feel it in your abs and your upper back is off the floor. Don’t lift your lower back off the floor. Also Do not use momentum or try to pull on your head to do the crunch.

Ab Exercise #2 – Do Sit Ups

Sit ups are a full range version of the crunch and will focus on all the muscles in your front abs. Get in the same position you would for crunches, with back on the floor and feet on the ground. Then lift your entire body up to your knees, pulling with your ab muscles. This ab exercise will eventually get easy enough for you to start adding weight. Ab Exercise #3 – Do Heel Raises

Heel raises will isolate your lower ab muscles, which are the hardest muscles to get to show. It is important to strengthen all areas of your abdominals and not just focus on 1 or 2. To do this ab exercise, lie on the floor and lift your legs up, without bending them, until they are at a 90 degree angle to your body. Keep your hands at your sides. Now push your heels straight up and focus on moving them with your lower ab muscles. This is a short range of motion exercise, your heels will only raise about 4-5 inches.

These 3 exercises will get you on the road to that six pack you’re looking to sculpt. There are many more and different variations that you can do to work your abs even harder. Note that we have only worked the front of your abs so far, and not your obliques (the sides). In performing ab exercises for men, you can make use of a Swiss ball. Sit on the ball with feet wide apart on the floor. Lean back and stretch your arm pointing them to the ceiling.  Tighten your abs like your crunch exercise as you try to reach the ceiling. Maintain in that position for around three seconds and then straighten your body again similar to the original position. Do this exercise for ten times. 

In doing the ab exercises for men, do them regularly and in a right manner to better get the effect on your abs. You need to be serious with the regimen by following a set of abs exercise on a specific time of the day regularly. This will enhance the development of your abs. If you have achieved them, maintaining such toned body should not be a problem.
