We all have our own reasons for why we want to get in shape, often times the real motivating ones feel so silly and foolish that we wouldn’t even tell anyone about them. But those are the ones that will actually keep you on track, help you stick to your plan and follow through. So take a few minutes right now and think about what those reasons are for you.

Perhaps you’ve heard of this product and are wondering whether it is right for you. Well, if that’s the case then this Full-Body-Licious review was written with you in mind.

So what is Full-Body-Licious?

Full-Body-Licious is a fitness program designed by Flavia Del Monte based on a workout system she used herself. In fact, using this system, she managed to reduce her body fat from 18% to 13.4% in just 10 weeks while working out in a place called Powerhouse Gym located in Tampa, Florida.

The content within the program is delivered in video format with Flavia bringing you through each workout personally. She demoes each routine so you don’t need to worry about not being able to visualize how to do it. Another thing provided is printouts for each DVD that contains pictures of the exercise along with the amount of sets and repetitions you’re supposed to do. The printouts are great for times when you want a ‘cheat sheet’ while you’re at the gym or outstation.

Will it deliver the results?

Back in February this year, Flavia did a case study with a group of 95 women with a truncated version of Full-Body-Licious. The ladies that took part in this challenge all had different background and were of assorted ages and yet many of them achieved success in losing significant weight. While this is not a complete guarantee that it will work for you, but there is a good chance that if you are willing to put in the work required, you will see the results. At this moment, this product is only available as a digital download. The good thing about this is that you can download the training videos straight after you’ve paid for it. A number of people have expressed their dissapointment however at the fact that they won’t be able to get a physical version.

If you are one of these people who prefer a physical product, then you might want to skip it till such time that one is available. The other option is to convert the videos to the appropriate format and burn it to DVDs yourself or have someone do it for you. I would think that is a reasonable compromise.

Closing Thoughts

I know some might say that having a fitness product for women is unneccessary. Is there a need for it? Well, there is a big difference in both the physique and goals of men and women when it comes to bodybuilding. It doesn’t make sense for men and women to follow the same training regiment so Flavia has devised her own system tailored for women. I think this is one of the most complete fitness product I’ve seen in a while whether for men or women.

Most women who try to lose weight through pills or dieting may achieve that goal, however they still might not the kind of toned look they really want. Following Flavia’s program is no walk in the park, but through it you will become fitter and live healthier, not to mention your body will be looking great as well. Now you also have to realize that kettlebell swings will allow you to get into more advanced movements. So work at mastering the swing and the different variations. Like one hand swings and hand to hand swings. Once you get those mastered you will be ready to start doing things like the clean and over head snatch.

Last bit for the kettlebell swings is that it is a great leg and back workout. Which if you have seen any of the videos out there you are probably wondering how is it a back workout. You probably understand how it is a leg workout but not sure how your back gets involved. Well as the kettlebell drops between your legs you will want to let the weight go as far back as it can without rounding your back. That will allow you to get a better workout and make sure you back gets really good.

 

So now I want to explain to you how kettlebell workouts different from your typical bodybuilding workout. The first thing to understand is that unlike typical weightlifting where you lift and lower the weight in a nice and slow movement. Kettlebells are typically momentum movements. Meaning that you have to generate enough force to move the weight with the least amount of friction. Again using kettlebell swings as an example. When trying to get the kettlebell out in front of you, you’ll want to be hold the kettlebell tight and have your arms loose. And be generating the force through your hips. There is no real “lifting” in most kettlebell movements.

 

Last but not least I want to talk about the actual weight itself. Because unlike dumbbells and barbells the handle is actually a fair bit larger. This will have a negative effect on your grip. Also since the movements are momentum based a 35 pound kettlebell will feel a fair bit heavier as the weight comes back to the starting position. So start lighter than you think you should. Because an injury could put you out for weeks and really hinder your performance when you return.

 

So get out there and start a kettlebell workout routine.

Building muscles and muscle mass is one of the toughest tasks you can attempt. Okay, sainthood is probably harder, but not by a lot. Your body is an extremely efficient machine. It retains the amount of muscle mass that is required to comfortably perform your daily routine — no more and no less. Excess bulk takes a lot of energy to maintain — up to 50 calories a day per extra pound of muscle mass you add — and thousands of generations of evolution have taught your body that that’s a waste of perfectly good nuts, berries, and animal flesh.

As a man, I typically look for exercises that will help me build muscle mass, rather than burn calories. It basically all comes down to your body type and goals. In the end, a good fitness routine is mandatory for everyone for basic health reasons.

For a balanced fitness program, strength training is essential. It can slow the muscle loss that comes with age, build the strength of your muscles and connective tissues, increase bone density, cut your risk of injury, and help ease arthritis pain.

For example, have you ever considered push-ups, pull-ups, crunches, dips, leg raises, running, jogging, jumping jacks, jump rope, or maybe even lunges? And that’s just to name a few. The list goes on and on. That is why I laugh when individuals claim they simply can’t get into shape because they lack the proper equipment. You don’t need any!

Lose Fat. Strength training will build muscle while decreasing your body fat. Eating healthy will further decrease your body fat. If you need to lose a lot of fat or if you’re impatient, these tips are for you:

* Cardio. Do 30 minutes of cardio after your strength training. Three times a week at moderate intensity will do. The goal of cardio is to burn fat, not to exhaust yourself. You should breathe heavier than when at rest, but not gasping. * Cut calories. Track your food intake using Fitday. Start eating 18x your current body-weight in lbs. One week later: cut 500kcal. Check the balance one week later again. Did you lose weight? If you did, keep eating the same amount of calories. If not: cut another 500kcal.

So those are the basics of muscle-building. Most people – even so-called “hardgainers” – can put on a significant amount of new muscle by closely following the steps outlined above. Of course, genetics plays a huge role in determining your maximum size. But, for the average person, even a 10 or 20 pound addition of new muscle can make a big difference in the way they look and feel. There is one more thing: in case you want to build muscles fast and to actually grow, then you might need to take supplements. But which one of these actually work and which ones are healthy? The best thing is to ask both a nutritionist and a fitness specialist. Tell them your desires, listen to their advice and make sure you don’t make any abuses. Extra vitamins and minerals can help you increase your strength in any context, so taking them involves no risks, but there are many more which can be tricky in certain situations. Good luck!

Many workout programs utilize your own body weight or affordable (and space saving) resistance bands to provide resistance training. For cardio, some programs utilize dance, boxing, kickboxing, plyometrics, or Kenpo Karate to get your heart pumping. The best kind of home fitness program will include both resistance training and cardiovascular workouts.

P90x is the perfect example of an excellent home exercise program. It includes 12 workout DVDs and a nutrition guide that tells you what to eat. It is a 90 day program that once you complete, you will be amazed at your results.
