Billed as the “future of fitness” and hawked by numerous celebrities, Billy Blanks’s Tae-Bo actually deserves much of the hype it’s receiving. A mixture of boxing punches and martial arts kicks, Tae-Bo is fun and easy. One of the best elements of this four-tape set is that the first tape (which is 40 minutes long), Tae-Bo: Instructional, lays out the movements you need to successfully complete a workout. Once you’ve mastered the steps, you won’t have to fast-forward through half the tape to get to the workout, nor will your workout be slowed down by the repeated lessons. After you feel comfortable with the movements (and they’re really quite easy to follow; nothing too complicated to trip you up), you’re ready to move on to Tae-Bo: Basics, a 27-minute workout (5 minutes of warm-up, 18 minutes of Tae-Bo, and 4 minutes of cool-down) that will have your heart pounding and your body sweating. Next comes Advanced, a 57-minute workout that will have your heart racing, pulse pounding, and sweat glands working overtime. There’s razzmatazz on the moves, with slightly more complicated combinations that should be fairly easy to master if you’ve completed the first two tapes. This video seriously raises the bar on the difficulty factor.In addition to the short warm-up, the cool-down, and the 30 minutes of Tae-Bo, Advanced Tae-Bo also includes 18 minutes of muscle-crunching floor work. You know you’re in trouble when even the guys in the tape have trouble keeping up. Make sure you have truly mastered the first two tapes before attempting this one. The 8-Minute Workout is a highly compacted workout (actually 14 minutes long when you include warm-up and cool-down) for those days when you’re too short on time for Basic or Advanced. While the 8-minute idea is compelling, it’s not an adequate substitute for the longer workouts. Blanks, a seven-time World Martial Arts champion, is a superb instructor, providing encouragement and careful instruction (if you don’t know by the end of the tape to hold in your stomach, that’s no one’s fault but your own). The only downside to these tapes is the less-than-exciting music. Not only is Tae-Bo great exercise for all levels, but the punches and kicks are wonderful for working out stress and aggression. I’d love to open by make you cognizant that the packaging for all 13 DVDs is excellent, with no wasted baloney cases. The Nutrition Guide is real informative and professionally written, and so is the Workout Copy the creators of p90x. I dont follow the nutrition guidebook to the “T” seeing as I’m on a budget, but it includes fabulous recipes for pretty much anyone’s taste.

I have also written previous, a review of the original Power 90 lately, but I’m reviewing this because I needed to demonstrate how impressed I am with the expansion and excellence that the P90X method.

Pros over P90x:

1. The exercise is intense, unless you already have an Olympian type body, which I sure didn’t have when I started, these workouts kick your butt.

2. If you’re looking to bulk up, I endorse using weights. ) Despite your condition level or what recreation you like to play, you will benefit from these routines. Tony covers all to better flexibility, fitness, and endurance. Any athlete, or regular Joe or Jane, will become an much healthier and able-bodied person after just 90 days.

3. The workout studio they direct P90x at looks fabulous and sure fits the atmosphere for the whole P90X illustration.

4. The p90x program is not repetitive. You can go for near two weeks without doing the same workout twice. In the regular Power 90, you only tasted some of the things that P90X has. This adds to what you study in Power 90; things like yoga, muscle preparation, cardio, high and low contact activities, flexibility, etc.

4. The cost is especially fantastic for such an in depth home workout dvd. It’s Pretty much below 10 dollars per DVD. That would be about $ 30 for each month (and you get to keep doing it after you finish), which is an normal price for a membership to a fitness center. In the long run, the program pays for itself.

5. No need for big, bulky, expensive equipment. In truth, all you need are workout bands and your own body weight to do everything in the program. You’ll also need a pull up bar that is super straightforward to set up.

As you can look at the pros outweigh the cons greatly…

The bottom line is that for the cost, this is one of the most complete programs offered for the home workout pack on the market.

Like other reviewers have alleged, if you’re a beginner dont start on P90X. But if you’re in respectable shape, there is no other program out there that will get you in better shape.

I’d like to open by letting you know that the packaging for all 13 DVDs is magnificent, with no extra garbage cases. The Diet Manual is fantastically useful and expertly written, and so is the Workout Copy they include. I dont adhere to the food handbook to the “T” as I’m on a budget, but it includes great recipes for pretty much anyone’s taste.

I have also written prior, a review of the initial Power 90 recently, but I’m reviewing this since I wanted to demonstrate how impressed I am with the development and impressiveness that the P90X method.

Pros over P90x:

1. The instruction is powerful, unless you already have an Olympian mold body, which I undoubtedly didn’t have when I started, these workouts kick your butt.

2. If you’re looking to bulk up, I advise using weights. ) Regardless of your health level or what sport you like to play, you will benefit from these routines. Tony covers everything to enhance flexibility, strength, and stamina. Any athlete, or regular Joe or Jane, will turn into an much healthier and able-bodied person following just 90 days.

3. The workout studio they film P90x at looks cool and actually fits the atmosphere for the whole P90X representation.

4. The p90x program is not repetitive. You can go for just about two weeks without doing the same workout two times. In the regular Power 90, you only tasted some of the material that P90X has. As you can see the pros outweigh the cons mightily…

The bottom line is that for the expense, this is one of the most extensive programs around for the home-based workout pack on the market.

Like other reviewers have said, if you’re a beginner dont start on P90X. But if you’re in adequate shape, there is no other program out there that will get you in better shape.
