Top thighs exercises finally revealed. No, they’re not what you think… if you’re thinking typical treadmill jogging and barbell squats are the best exercises. NOPE… the exercises I’m going to share with you are way beyond mere jogging and squats.

1. Best exercise for those that hate gyms and exercising… jumping on a mini-trampoline

I recommend this exercise often because I know that most of my clients don’t like going to a gym. In fact, they don’t even like exercising. So I needed something to kinda “SNEAK” exercise into their lives. So it had to be something they can do at home. Something that isn’t hard. And… something that doesn’t require them to take a block of their time to devote to exercising.

The mini-trampoline jumping fits all those.

The way I sneak this in is by using TV commercials. So basically, you can do 2 things at once. Watch TV and exercise. This saves you a whole lot of time. You probably don’t realize this, but on average there’s somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 minutes of commercials every 1 hour.

So VOILA… 20 minutes of cardio done without much of a problem. Plus 2 other benefits to this is that you get lots of rest between each “mini-set” and you get a better metabolism boost by this type of workout.

2. Any activity done on soft sand

Ok, this tip may be impractical for you. I understand that. But if you’re ever near a beach or sand and you want a good workout for your thighs, just do any sort of activity that requires you to move around in the sand while standing up. The instability due to the looseness of the sand adds a lot more intensity to whatever it is you’re doing.

For example… playing volleyball in the sand is a lot harder than playing on cement or in grass. Same goes for walking and running… harder in sand. Maybe you can grab a frisbee and run around playing catch in the sand! To state it directly, these thighs exercises get you better results, quicker, than the typical gym exercises.

Start to squat by lowering your body as if in a sitting position. Then hold it for few seconds.
Then slowly stand back.
Repeat. Perform 20 reps and 2 sets.

Lunges
Lunges are another excellent outer and inner thigh exercises at home. It is very important to follow the right posture when performing lunges. To add intensity to your workout you can consider using light weights.

To do lunges, keep shoulder width distance between both the feet.
Then step up with your right foot and keep the hands in front of you to balance better.
Lower yourself down till your back leg’s knee is almost touching the floor.
Then hold for few seconds and rise up.
This was one rep. Perform 20 reps. Then switch the leg and perform another 20 reps.

Stretching
Stretching is an important exercise which is a must for your thigh workout. The best way to stretch your legs is sun salutation yoga. So, every morning once you get up early morning do sun salutation. Do 8-10 reps of sun salutation and after a month you will notice a huge difference in your overall health and flexibility. After you are done with your target exercise you can do these two stretches to avoid your legs from becoming stiff. Simply stand holding a sturdy bar or chair. Then bring one of the your foot back and try to raise it up as much as you can and hold for 10 seconds. Then release slowly and repeat with the other leg. Another stretch is to put your foot on stool or a chair. Then bend over and try to reach the foot and hold for 10 seconds, release and repeat with other leg.

These were the various thigh exercises that women can do at home to get rid of thigh fat. With the workout also follow a healthy diet. Avoid fatty foods and include more of Mediterranean style fats like nuts, olive oil and fish. Also, eat a lot of fresh fruits and veggies to increase the fiber content. If you are among the many people looking to get slimmer thighs then some inner thigh exercises will be high on the agenda. Here we will cover two very simple inner thigh exercises that you will be able to do in the comfort of your own home.

Firstly, you should consider concentrating your exercise efforts on toning the whole leg rather than just the inner thigh as this will provide far better results in the long run.

The following two exercises are fantastic at achieving good results and your legs will start to show improvement relatively quickly, including your inner thighs.

1. Use your staircase as an exercise machine!

Running up a flight of stairs and then walking back down them will exercise every leg muscle most notably your inner thigh muscles which are used throughout. Using your stairs in this manner will help tone all your leg muscles and will also help to burn off a considerable amount of weight.

For those of you who would much rather exercise at home this is a perfect way of doing so. It doesn’t get much simpler than this, simply running up stairs and walking down them…easy!

You should try to do this continuously for ten minutes and at least 5 times a week to reap the full benefits of this exercise. Working your staircase like this will get your legs back into great shape and it will take less than an hour a week to get them there! No lame excuses, just get on and do it!

2. Wall Squats will make your thighs burn!

Sounds painful, but the burning you will feel in your thighs are your muscles working hard and burning fat, so this is an excellent muscle toning exercise and here’s how to do it.

Put your back against a wall with your feet your shoulders width apart and about 2 feet away from the wall. Slowly bend your knees, keeping your back flat against the wall. Make sure the wall you use is smooth as it will be easier for your back to slide down it. When your knees are at a 90 degree angle stop and hold for at least a minute or until your thighs start to feel like they are burning.

Once you have held this stressed position for a minute, gradually start to straighten your knees, slowly returning to your original position where you should rest for a minute before repeating.

Perform sets of 5 to 10 wall squats, four times a day for the best results.

That covers it, you really shouldn’t have any problems carrying out these two, very basic, inner thigh exercises both of which are ideal for working out at home, getting great toned legs and losing weight.
