Everybody has their own specific fitness goals and desires. The dream body for most women however usually is fairly similar. The main feature is of course a fantastic, flat stomach that makes you feel great about yourself and of course looks great in all situations. Here are a few different exercises that any woman can use to help produce great abs.

One great exercise is the lying leg lift. Lying down on the floor with your arms at your sides, raise your legs until they are at a 90 degree angle to the floor. Slowly lower them down and never let your feet touch the floor in between repetitions.

For a variation of this exercise instead of raising your legs all the way up into the air, only raise them about a foot off the ground. Additionally, raise one leg at a time so you are performing somewhat of a scissor motion with your legs. Never let your feet touch the ground during your set and perform each set until failure.

To really give your abs a muscle building boost try performing the dumbbell swing. Hold a dumbbell with both hands and squat down to the floor. Move the dumbbell in between your legs as if you were hiking a football, and then bring it out in front of your body with your arms extended straight. Do this as you stand upright and keep your abs tight, and then return to the starting position and repeat.

There is truly an infinite array of abdominal exercise that women can perform in order to see results. There is no limit on what you can try and there is no single solution that can’t also be achieved with different exercises and routines. Start with a few of the above exercises and see what works best for you.

4 best ab exercises for women at home

As I said in my video, these are just 4 of my favourite ab excercises to do at home 4-5 times a week. Here they are described again: 1) Side crunches- For this exercise elevate your feet so they are a foot or so off of the ground. Then do side crunches touching one side of the floor and then the other. Repeat this 8-12 times depending on your fitness level. 2) Bicycle- Lie flat on your back with your arms and head on the floor, and move your feet in a motion as if you were pedalling a bicycle. Repeat 12 times. 3) Toe touches- Hold your feet so they are up in the air above you (without locking your knees). Reach up with your hands and attempt to touch your toes. This is like a normal sit up, but more difficult. Do 8-12 times. 4) Plank- Prop yourself up on your elbows (and arms) and your balls of your feet. Keep your butt and back level with one another, and do your best to hold this position for 1 minute. As I said in my video, these exercises target your upper, middle, side, and lower abs. Repeat each exercise 2 times each:)

If your personal trainer focuses on ‘core muscles’ by directing you to use the balance balls, you are wasting your time. You follow the same routines in the hope these abdominal exercises would build muscles in your midsection. However, you will see no results even after several weeks or even months.

People who have six-pack abs will tell you they concentrate more on reducing body fat and less on abdominal core exercise. Talk to someone who actually has six pack abs. Exercise balls, medicine balls, crunchesÂ….just name any! Many of these things are considered a requirement, by many people, when abdominal exercises for women are concerned.

On the other hand, the thing which countless people fail to let you know is the fact that you have to burn off the fat around your abdominal region in order for you to get a flat stomach or even a visible six pack. Abdominal exercises for women helps strengthen a woman’s abs but it can never be enough, on its own, to lose belly fat.

Rather than just tell you of a number of decent abdominal exercises for women, I’m going to fill you in on how it is that you can lose the fat quicker around your abdominal region. So let me begin with some proven ab workouts. Here they are:

Upper Abs:

•Crunches

•Crunches using an exercise ball to lean your legs on

•Fingers to toes Ab Crunches

Lower Abs (Note that lower ab exercises are important for getting a fully developed core):

But if you do not think you can add in a good diet plan then all your physical training would be a waste as you wouldn’t be getting the results you really desire. You could be in the best shape (not in appearance) within a few months but you can never out exercise a bad diet.
