How to get ripped abs and look great with your top of or in a bikini isn’t going to happen overnight, but to target and transform your abs I have devised a pick and choose style workout routine that lets you decide how you want to train your abdominal muscles and get those ripped abs and flat stomach you are aiming for.

Before we go on a little further a quick note about body fat and weight loss, to see your abs you must have a very small amount of fat on your midsection, so to lose weight is a must if you are going to see your abs get ripped.

Using a series of 18 exercises, you can create a workout routine that allows you to design 3000 possible ab routines.
The best thing about this is that your abdominal muscles never get board and plateau out, so there is an endless stream of results and no flat spots.

My mix and match abs workout focuses on all four regions of your midsection, the upper abs the lower abs the oblique’s and the core muscles this includes the lower back as well.

However or whatever of the 3000 workouts you are going to end up creating, you will start by hitting your entire rectus abdominals, which connects from the bottom of your ribs down to your pelvis, from top to bottom, this tends to hit the lower portion of the abs more than the upper abdominals.

Now you will need to add what I call the modified ab crunch move. This does require you to use an exercise ball. With knees bent, lay on the ball so the middle of your back is resting on the exercise ball. And keep your feet flat on the ground. Then do a crunch. Be sure not to move your neck but rather move your entire upper body.
Since you have the exercise ball now, you may as well us it again by doing push ups with it. Place your feet on either side of the exercise ball. Use your legs to squeeze the ball and start movign it back and forth.
So there you go. These simple exercises will give you ripped abs by building them up and also burning off fat. The exercises here are just a quick sample of how to do a proper ab exercise routine so you can see just how far off you are with your exercises.

It’s an exercise that targets both the six pack area and the waist. How do these abb workouts go? First, lie flat on the floor and make sure that your lower back is pressed to the ground. Place your hands at the side of your head and lift your knees in a bicycling motion (as if you’re pedaling a bicycle). While twisting back and forth, lift your shoulder blades and alternately touch your elbows to the opposite knees. Make sure that you are not straining your neck while doing this. Do 1-3 sets of this exercise with around 12-16 repetitions per set. Another great group of ab workouts are the leg lift.
These kind of abb workouts target your lower abdomen. To do this exercise, lie flat on the floor with your legs straight out. Place your hands to your side with your hands palm down on the floor. Then, lift your legs up until it reaches a 90 degree angle (or as near as you can make it) without bending your knees. Lower your legs slowly and make sure they don’t touch the floor. Do 1-3 sets of this ab workout with around 8-12 repetitions per set. The third of the ab workouts is the reverse crunch.
Like the old and well-known ab crunch, this exercise targets your six pack or rectus abdominus. How do we do the reverse crunch? First, you have to lie flat on the floor with your knees bent and your feet also flat on the floor. You can place your hands to your side or behind your head. Then, bring your knees up towards your chest until they bend about 90 degrees. Contract your abs and raise your hips off the floor in a very small movement. Don’t swing your legs to help you lift your hips. Instead, try to use your ab muscles to do this for you. Do 12-16 repetitions, 1-3 sets. The last of the ab workouts is the plank exercise.
This exercise not only targets your abs but also the muscles on your lower back. To do this, you have to lie face down on the floor with your body resting in your forearms. Then, push off the floor and place yourself in the push-up position. Make sure to keep your back straight from head to heels. Contract your ab muscles to hold your rear in position, keeping it from going down or sticking up into the air. Hold this position for 20-60 seconds then lower your body again. Repeat this 3 to 5 times per set. These are all great examples of ab workouts and should be utilized to get those awesome abs.

honestly, I workout my abs about 3 days per week and do about 5 sets of 20. do I use weighted ab machines heck no! let me allow you in on a little ab secret. Abs are made in the kitchen!

Ok so i decided to write this short article because there are not many people out there who don’t want to get a set of amazing abs, yet it is unbelievable the amount of people who have no idea how to achieve them and sit doing 100s of crunches. I speak to clients all the time who are new to training and they almost all say the want to get a ‘six pack’, it is not only the new guys though the amount of people i talk to who know a lot about training and this includes a lot of people on this site as well yet still believe silly myths about getting ripped abs. Hopefully what I am writing here will help all you guys and get you on the right track to getting the abs you want!
The first thing I have found is that a lot of you new guys seem to think that everyone is capable of getting the same shape abs . This of course is untrue not everyone can achieve an 8 pack or six pack. We are born with the shape of our abs and no different exercises or fat loss with change it. Some people have ‘six packs ‘some ’8 packs’ and so on you can see this simply by looking at some of the great physiques on bodyspace of different guys equally ripped and yet still have different shaped abs.. You gotta see my site for before and after pics and how I did it.

Debra’s Abb Workout Really Works Wonders
Here I will show you what Debra didn’t know about abb workout and once she learnt it she took off on her way to the flat stomach. First she learnt about the stability ball and how she could do crunches on it, then she learnt about the jackknife on the same ball and then she researched for more info on the reverse crunch. She knew that she didn’t need more workouts.
Crunches on the ball. When Debra realized how to do these she felt like she has never done anything for her abbs before. The ball offered her numerous ways of working out the lower, upper abbs as well as the obliques. She starts by rolling down on the ball and crosses her hands on her chest. Then she flexes her body and holds the position for several seconds. After that she slowly returns back to the initial position. She does this for 10-12 times. No more
The Jackknife on the ball was a more difficult one for Debra. She needed to put her shins on the ball while in a push up position. With her torso straight she pulls her legs forward having the ball slightly roll. She squeezes her abs as hard as she can at the top and holds the position for 2-3 seconds then rolls the ball back with her legs.
The reverse crunch is her favorite abb workout. It is a bit more advanced than the other ones and she does this without a stability ball. She lies on her mat and raises her head and upper shoulders. With her hands behind her head she bends her knees at about 90 degrees and pulls her legs toward her chest. When she reaches her upper abbs she then smoothly and slowly brings her legs back without having them touch the floor.
These are the most effective and basic abb workout routines she found out. Debra doesn’t need any expensive equipment and machines – the crunches, the jackknife on the ball and the reverse crunch.
